Davit Hakobyan

Davit is the founder and managing partner of Dimension Legal LLC (renamed as Dimension Legal RVS following the partial acquisition by a London-based law firm, April 2021). Davit is also a Chairman of the Board of Directors in Dimension Investment Company under the regulation of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia.

Davit is a non-judge member of the Committee on Ethics and Disciplinary Issues of the General Assembly of Judges of the Republic of Armenia endorsed by Transparency International Anti-Corruption Armenian Center․

 

Davit used to coordinate the Transparency International Anti-Corruption Center’s projects and initiatives for a fair and accountable mining sector in Armenia. In the meantime, Davit was involved with the Responsible Mining Center, AUA and Mining Legislation Reform Institute in the preparation of the changes to the Armenian Mining Code, Environmental Impact Assessment Law and Mining Inspection Law submitted respectively to Armenia’s Ministry for Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Armenia’s Ministry of the Environment and Armenia’s Inspectorate for the Environment and Mining. Davit was entrusted by the UNDP to prepare training courses on data protection and human rights protection mechanisms for the civil servants.

Before starting his own practice, Davit used to work as Legal Manager for Deloitte Armenia, and was a Chief Legal Adviser for Armenbrok investment company.

Davit’s private legal practice emphasizes corporate, securities, finance and general business law. Davit has advised on a wide range of M&A and corporate law issues, various forms of commercial contracts drafting and negotiation, investments and institutional lending.

Davit promotes the practice of Human Rights Due Diligence in Armenia, and the implementation of United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

Before moving to private legal practice, Davit worked in international organizations for a total of 7 years between 2004-2011 where he was involved as Program Officer, Consultant and Legal Expert in development projects under the umbrella of the OSCE (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe) and UNDP (United Nations Development Programme).

 

Davit has been involved in major inquiry and fact-finding commissions set up in Armenia over the last 15 years. He participated as a Legal Adviser in the investigation conducted by the Parliamentary Inquiry Commission on '2016 April War'. Davit Hakobyan coordinated a Task Force to assist Armenia’s Human Rights Defender in investigating the causes of large-scale violence and the death of ten civilians which occurred in the aftermath of the February 2008 Armenian presidential election. An ad hoc report was released on behalf of the Human Rights Defender’s Office. Davit also worked for the International Criminal Court (Office of the Prosecutor, Ugandan situation)

Davit has earned LLM Degree at University Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne (France) and completed his legal practice course (LPC) with BPP Law School in London (UK).

He is a practicing lawyer both in Armenia and England & Wales.

Dr. Lusine Navasardyan

Lusine is a co-director of UK based law firm 'RVS Solicitors' and a partner in Dimension Legal RVS. She currently works within the Corporate and Business Immigration sector, advising high-net-worth individuals and overseas businesses seeking to relocate to the UK, as well as offering global mobility services to UK based businesses.

 

She advises overseas clients with the relocation of their businesses to the UK, as well as UK-based businesses seeking to attract investment via the Tier 1 (investor), Innovator or Sole Representative of an Overseas Business visa categories. She has worked alongside many UK and overseas companies advising them on various compliance issues. She has a particular interest in Human Rights in business and the related regulatory aspects.

Before moving to the UK, she practiced as a corporate lawyer in Romania, advising her clients in connection with a wide range of corporate issues, including compliance and regulatory issues. In particular, she has a strong understanding of investment-related legal aspects, having this as the focus of her doctoral theses - 'Guarantees and protection for international direct investments in the context of international trade law'.

She is licensed to practice law in England and Wales and Romania, registered with the Bucharest Bar, as well as SRA as a solicitor.

Rakhi Singal

 

Rakhi is a co-director of the UK based law firm ‘RVS Solicitors’, she is also partner in Dimension Legal RVS. 

Rakhi has extensive experience within Family law and serves clients both in the UK and internationally. She is well known for her work with cases involving complex financial arrangements, including asset planning and restructuring. Her services are in particular sought after by High-Net Worth individuals, who seek to take advantage of the more flexible and favourable divorce and asset separation laws in the UK.

Ejmin Shahbazian

Ejmin is a senior associate in Dimension Legal RVS. ​ He has experience working in Dimension Investments for three years, as an in-house counsel and Anti-money laundry and terrorism financing compliance officer. 

 

He has also worked with The Center for Innovation in Open Governance (CIOG) as a researcher conducting parliamentary oversight monitoring with CIOG's international partner Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance (DCAF). ​

 

Ejmin's areas of expertise are: compliance, corporate law, M&A and restructuring, due diligence, ADR and public policy analysis. ​

 

Ejmin has a dual degree in bachelor's of law from the French University of Armenia and Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3 followed by a master’s degree in law from the American University of Armenia. ​

 

Ejmin is also a contributing writer at EVN Report and Caucasus Watch.

Vazgen Sargsyan

Vazgen is an associate in Dimension Legal RVS.


Vazgen has a dual degree in bachelor's of law from the French University in Armenia and Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3 and has a master’s degree in private law. Following his studies, he worked at “Veolia Jur” CJSC (the water systems manager in Armenia regulated by the RA Public Services Regulatory Commission) for two years, as an in-house counsel.

His areas of expertise are: corporate law, compliance, legal due diligence, company incorporation and restructuring, he has particular interest in water and mining law.

Sofia Zakharyan

Sofia is an associate in Dimension Legal RVS.

Sofia has a dual degree in Bachelor of Laws Russian-Armenian State University (graduated summa cum laude). During her studies, Sofia was selected from Armenia to participate in an Academic Exchange Program sponsored by the U.S. Department of State and studied U.S. Legal System, International Relations, and U.S. Constitutional Law at the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire.

Sofia also has received a Master of Laws Degree from the American University of Armenia with her studies focusing on Corporate Governance, Intellectual Property Law, Business organizations, Anti-corruption and Compliance. Within the course of her legal education, Sofia also shaped her practical skills by active involvement in Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot Court, and Jean-Pictet Competition in International Humanitarian Law.

In addition to her academic background, Sofia also successfully passed the Armenian Bar Exam and obtained a license to practice law in Armenia.

Prior to joining Dimension Legal RVS, she has worked at the Office of the Human Defender and Office of the President of the Republic of Armenia. During her work at the Human Rights Defender’s Office, she was initially engaged in international legal cooperation and subsequently in protecting human rights in the Criminal Justice sector. During her employment, she acted as the Human Rights Defender’s Office representative in Anti-Corruption Working Group established by the Armenian Ministry of Justice and comprised representatives of state institutions, civil society organizations, and international donor organizations.

Her areas of expertise are international investment law, corporate governance, corporate responsibility, anti-corruption and compliance, criminal business law, criminal procedure, human rights in business.
