On June 8th, Dimension Legal RVS senior associate Ejmin Shahbazian participated in the English Law Day in Yerevan. This event was organised by the Eurasian CIS Legal Professionals' Forum in collaboration with the British Embassy Yerevan, The Bar Council of England & Wales, CIS LONDON & PARTNERS LLP, George Z. Georgiou & Associates LLC and 4 New Square Chambers.
The opening remarks were delivered by the UK Ambassador H.E. Mr. John Gallagher, along with King's Counsel Shantanu Majumdar and the Chairman of the Eurasian CIS Legal Professionals' Forum, Ben Wells.
Throughout the conference various topics were addressed, including considerations for private clients from the CIS, immigration and wealth management, the use of English Law in financial transactions within the Armenian context over the past 20 years, and a multitude of other transnational legal matters.
Ejmin, acted as a speaker in the panel discussing the use of English Law within the Armenian context. Among the participants were lawyers from Clifford Chance and Fieldfisher. In his remarks, he pointed out the importance of English Law in daily legal service provision to Dimension Legal RVS local and international clientele and made suggestions on further integration of English Law principles and best practice.
