The UK-Armenian consulting firm Dimension Legal RVS with the support of the UK Department for Business and Trade, jointly with British Embassy in Yerevan and the Chamber of Advocates of Armenia held a Training Series on English Law for Advocates in the Republic of Armenia․
This seminar aims at training the local practitioners with English law basics to equip them with the knowledge and necessary skills providing an opportunity to master the international best practice. Within the course of the seminar, the following topics were addressed: general Introduction to English law for foreign practitioners, the road map for local practitioners in qualifying as a solicitor in England and Wales, English contract law basics, and these topics’ relevance for Armenian advocates.
Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, H.E. Mr. John Gallagher, President of the RA Chamber of Advocates Mr. Simon Babayan and Managing Partner of Dimension Legal RVS Davit Hakobyan (an RA advocate with a solicitor’s qualification from England and Wales). A UK King's Counsel, lawyers of the leading British law firms, with an experience in international legal proceedings, acted as trainers.
